about me
Minnesota | CROSSFIRE 16-1
I started playing volleyball when I was 12. The only reason I signed up was because my cousin begged me to join her, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’d ever made. I fell in love with the sport almost immediately. I remember one week that first year when a huge snowstorm hit. My cousin was over at my house, and we were sitting in our knee pads waiting for practice, only to get the email that it was canceled. We were so sad. That was the moment I realized how much I already loved volleyball; I was disappointed to miss practice. I can’t say that is how I feel about practice everyday now, but the love is still there!
I started my club journey at DIGS. Wanting a longer season, I switched to Crossfire, and this is now my fourth year with the club. The relationships I have built with my teammates have only deepened my love of the game.
People usually describe me as the fun, encouraging teammate, the one always hyping everyone up and keeping the energy high. As a setter, my favorite thing is giving my hitters a great ball so they can absolutely smoke it. Nothing makes me happier than watching a teammate crush a kill off a set I delivered. I love running a fast offense, communicating loudly, and growing into a stronger leader every season.
One moment I’ll never forget was at my first Orlando Nationals during my 14s year. We had a brutal challenge match to get into gold. We had previously lost to that team on day one, but we came out firing, played our hearts out, and beat them when it mattered most. That match helped me understand the heights a team can reach when they play together as one! The joy of playing when you are just doing it for yourself quickly gets old, but when you play for your team, it is top-tier: fun, friendships, and challenges all while playing the best game of all time.

Outside of volleyball, I’m the kind of person who brings energy everywhere I go. My friends would probably describe me as goofy, outgoing, and always down for fun; you can hit me up with any idea at any hour, and I’ll be there.
Most people are surprised to learn I used to be a black belt in karate with my brothers, which partly explains why I’m competitive and not easily intimidated. I also recently joined the girls’ flag football team at school. Lastly, I love playing pickleball, but it’s tough going to pickleball open gyms because the seniors are insanely good!
At school, I love my communications class mostly because my teacher brings snacks every single day. I’m planning to major in nursing, so I’m making peace with biology even though it’s not exactly my best friend. I’m proud of taking dual enrollment classes while still in high school, but my commute is an hour long. Thankfully, I ride to school with friends, so my morning drive is often spent taking a quick snooze.
At home, I love random projects. For example, I once edited a picture of one of my brother’s friends to look like LeBron James, and I gave it to him for basketball season. He hung it up on his locker.
I stay motivated by surrounding myself with positivity; I printed out motivational quotes and put them all over my wall so I can look at them whenever I need a boost. I find tons of joy in little things: swimming on hot days, rollercoasters, my freshly-washed blanket, and a perfectly crunchy green grape.
anoka HIGH SCHOOL
I transferred schools last year, so it was my first year playing for Anoka High School. The best part was that I recognized many of the girls from different club teams, so it was fun getting to know them better. We won two tournaments and had a ton of fun!
